Alerts
Overview
The Alerts feature in DataDios enables you to configure conditions that proactively monitor metrics. When thresholds are crossed or anomalies are detected, notifications are triggered. This ensures timely awareness of performance issues and helps prevent failures before they escalate.
Alert Types
- The Workload Alerts feature allows you to configure conditions that proactively monitor metrics. When the DataSources metrics are extracted, the alerts are triggered based on the conditions configured.
Managing Alerts
Navigate to Scheduler → Alerts to view and manage all alerts.
Alerts List
You’ll see:
- Alert Name
- Evaluation Interval
- Status (Active/Paused)
- Last Triggered Time
Actions Available
- Update → Modify threshold, condition, or recipients.
- Pause/Resume → Temporarily stop the alert without deleting it.
- Delete → Permanently remove the alert.
Viewing Notifications
Triggered alerts generate notifications inside the application and optionally via email.
In-App Notifications
- Click the bell icon in the top bar.
- The notification panel displays:
- Alert Name
- Triggered Time
- Condition that was met
- Severity Level
Clicking a notification lets you:
- View the associated graph
- See the full alert details
- Mark it as read or acknowledge it
Search & Filter
- Filter by status (Read / Unread)
- Search by Alert Name or Time Range
Troubleshooting
- Notification not received? → Check email settings or enable in-app notifications.
- Alert not triggering? → Verify metric data and conditions.
- Permission denied? → Ensure you have the necessary permissions to create and manage alerts.
