Tuples Returned or Fetched

  1. The eleventh chart in the bottom section, shows the load on the PostgreSQL database system, in terms of number of tuples read from the disk or fetched the cache by top 10 databases.
  2. The longer the horizontal bars and higher the number, the more the number of tuples read or fetched.
  3. Hover over the bars for more information.
  4. If the number of tuples read is too high in a database, then the queries may be reading more data than necessary.
  5. Identify the queries and optimize them.
  6. For instance, partition a large table if necessary.
  7. Use partition keys appropriately in the queries to ensure only the partitions are read.
